HORIZONTAL PEELER CENTRIFUGE WITH FILTRATION AND DRYING CAPABILITY

This laboratory / pilot scale centrifuge offers centrifugal filtration and solids drying in a single machine. This machine is equipped with interchangeable rotors to allow it to be used as a horizontal basket centrifuge, and also as a tumble dryer as a "two-for-one" approach to centrifugation and drying.

This centrifuge is equipped with interchangeable rotors and casings that allow it to operate as a horizontal peeler centrifuge with automatic cake discharge, or as a basket centrifuge / tumble dryer. In the tumble dryer configuration, the slurry is centrifuged and spun dried.

Following centrifugation, the caked solids are dislodged from the basket sidewall using a pneumatic cake discharger located behind the basket. The product is tumble-dried using hot air or nitrogen at elevated temperature and pressure while the basket is rotating at a slow speed.

This interchangeability allows the centrifuge to be used for a wide variety of separation problems and offers the advantages of contained processing on a laboratory / pilot scale.
